Bec May

Yoga is invigoration in relaxation. Freedom in routine. Confidence through self control. Energy within and
    energy without.
   -Ymber Delecto

Bec's path to yoga began 12 years ago when she undertook buddhism studies at The Melbourne Buddhist
Centre.
She took her first yoga class that year, and after exploring many styles, including Bikram, Power flow,
Anusara, Iyengar and Hatha, Bec was drawn to the power of vinyasa, not only for its beauty and grace, but
for the sense of peace she found within the practice.
Bec's yoga journey led her to Mysore, India, the birthplace of Ashtanga where she studied both the primary
and secondary series under Acharya Chidnanda, along with a six week specialized Advanced Backbending
course with renowned yogi Vinay Kumar.
In 2010 she traveled to Nepal her she gained her 200hr yoga alliance certification under the tutelage of
vinyasa flow specialist Dominique Renucci. Along with this she undertook an extra 70 hours of training in
Thai Massage and Holistic Nutrition.
Bec believes that yoga is not a set of poses but rather a way of life, in which every moment can be lived to
the fullest with compassion, joy, hope and balance. She is constantly seeking to grow as a teacher and as a
student.
Bec and her partner now live full-time as part of the community at Bellbunya.
