Pre-visit information

Bellbunya is owned by a not-for-profit organisation.

Accommodation is available for daily or weekly stays. Longer stays may be possible (WWOOFers, people interested in joining the community). Please ask us for more information if this is of interest to you.

Explanation of room facilities and costs are on our pricing page.

It is our aim to provide accommodation that is clean, low-toxic and ecologically friendly.  We do not  offer a full room service. We prepare the room for you and clean it after you leave. We ask that you maintain your room yourself for the time you are here. Of course, please see us if there are any problems or if you need something, and we will do our best to look after you.

Wholesome, locally produced vegetarian meals can be provided on a group basis by prior arrangement. Costs are on our pricing page. For groups of less than 6 people and individual bookings, please talk to us to discuss potential meal options, including the possibility of joining community meals.

Smoking is permitted only in our designated smoking area near the car-park.

Alcohol is not available for purchase or served at Bellbunya. If you wish to drink alcohol, please bring your own and drink responsibly.

Please be aware the philosophy of this community is drug free.

At Bellbunya you will experience an eco-friendly, rural, ’get away from it all’ experience.  There are no phones in the rooms and mobile phone reception is generally only possible in the Tai Chi Garden, with occasional/transient pockets of reception in other areas. There are no televisions or other electronic media in the rooms. Rooms have thermal insulation and are cooled by fans and ventilation, rather than energy intensive airconditioning.

It is advisable to bring a torch, an umbrella, sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent.

Please make other arrangements for your beloved pets as we cannot accommodate them.

If you would like a campfire we recommend you bring some wood with you. Fires are not permitted when a total fire ban is declared so please always check with us first and use designated fire pits only.

If travelling in a vehicle, for directions visit our location page.

If travelling without a vehicle, visit www.translink.com.au for the bus and train schedules to Eumundi, the nearest town.

Please be aware that the property is 15 minutes by car to Eumundi and there is no public transport between Eumundi and Bellbunya. It may be possible to get a lift with a community member if they are heading where you want to go and have a spare seat, if your time is flexible. A taxi between Bellbunya and Eumundi on average costs approximately $30-35 (phone 13 1008).

There are some pet dogs on the property and you will likely be greeted by barking. They are friendly dogs and are simply letting us know you have arrived!
